Michael knew what Satan really wanted. Satan wanted to keep Moses' body so that he could coax the Israelites into worshiping it, thereby making them fall into idolatry. So to make sure this didn't happen, Michael took the body to Moab. There he buried Moses in a valley opposite Beth Peor.  

 

So even today, no one, not even the devil, knows where Moses' body is buried.
