The Israelites were just about to enter the Promised Land. By this time, Moses was one hundred and twenty years old, but he was still strong and healthy. He had just finished teaching the people a new song that God had written. God had asked Moses to teach them his new song so that they would know what was expected of them in the Promised Land. And, what's more, if the people learned the song, they would have no excuses if terrible things happened to them.

But Moses wasn't going to be allowed to enter the Promised Land. You see, he had done something wrong at a place called Merebah and, for that, God was going to kill him. What Moses didn't know, at this point, was that his dead body would soon become the subject of a heated celestial debate...
