Er grew up to be a strapping young lad, and when it was time for him to marry, Judah found him a nice young woman called Tamar. Tamar was really beautiful and Er was very fond of how she looked. They had been married for some time but did not have any children. One afternoon, the young couple was out enjoying the sunshine, laughing away together and planning their future.

 

Unfortunately for Tamar, she didn’t realize that God didn’t like her husband quite as much as she did. In fact, God thought Er to be a bit on the wicked side so He decided to kill him.
