“You must make golden models of the tumors” the priest told them.

 “You mean,” the Philistine leader asked, “that we have to have our metal workers make replicas of the tumors in people’s groins to get the god of Israel to stop killing us?”

 “Precisely,” replied the priest.

The priest told them they should make golden replicas of mice too, because a plague of mice had always accompanied the plague of tumors.
