Dawn of the Dead Saints

Most had been buried in tombs cut out of rocks or in burial boxes, but some had been buried in the ground. The earthquake had unsettled the ground and moved some of the rocks so the saints were able to get out of their tombs. Those who had been buried underground had to scratch their way to the surface quickly so they didn't suffocate.

When they reached the surface, they coughed hard to get the dirt out of their mouths. It was weird to feel air in their lungs again and feel the breeze against their skin.

It was amazing to see lots of dead people coming out of caves and pulling themselves up from the ground at the same time. In many cases, all that had been left was some bones in burial boxes. But flesh had instantly grown on the bones and whole bodies had quickly been restored.

They didn't know who each other were but somehow they knew they had to go into town to show themselves to the people there. Unfortunately, though, they couldn't go into town for a while. They had to wait till Jesus rose from the dead himself.
