Noah Falls Off The Wagon

God let out a great big sigh. He had just taken a good look at the world and realized  that it was violent and corrupt. In fact, this is how bad things were: Every single thought that every single person had was evil all the time. Can you believe that?  No one ever hugged their kids, or sang a song, or gave their grandparents some food to eat, or even said, “Have a nice day.” Every thought that popped into a person’s mind was nasty, horrible, and awful. God was so depressed about the whole thing that His heart actually hurt.

He decided that the only way to handle the situation would be to kill everyone. He had tried to think of various ways of doing it but in the end the best he could come up with was drowning the whole world and everything in it. Unfortunately, this meant killing millions of animals as well. They really hadn’t done anything wrong and weren’t exactly what you’d call corrupt, but then some of them were pretty violent. Almost all of the insects would have to die too, but most of them are kind of creepy looking anyway.

But there was one bright spot. God was able to find a man who was actually quite descent. In fact, as far as his generation went, he was perfect! His name was Noah, and God decided to save him along with his family.

God told Noah to build a huge wooden boat and gather aboard seven pairs of each of the “clean” animals  and one pair of each of the “unclean” animals from throughout the world. He had to get two of every species of bird and two of each type of insect as well. The insects were a real nuisance because Noah had to build thousands of little boxes to hold them in so the other animals didn't step on them...
